Beenie Man breaks silence on arrest in Ghana by National Security

Jamaican Dancehall artiste Anthony Moses Davis popularly known as Beenie Man has denied ever testing positive for COVID-19 like it was widely reported.

According to him, he has been travelling for the past 6 months and has never tested positive for the deadly virus hence news of him testing positive comes as a surprise to him.

Addressing reports of him testing positive for the disease, Beenie Man in a tweet said “

“Mi confuse yf. #Update to my fans who are genuinely reaching out. I have no Covid, never caught covid before, tested NEGATIVE for Covid. Been travelling for the past 6 months Covid free. Fully vaccinated. I guess someone wants me to have Covid. Uno weird yf.”

He further described Ghana as a beautiful country with beautiful people and expressed optimism on coming back to the country in 2022.

Beenie Man was reported to have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for flouting COVID-19 protocols after he tested positive for the virus upon his arrival on December 19 at the Kotoka International Airport.

He is said to have provided a fake clearance Certificate and was seen moving around for interviews and subsequently performed at the well attended event.
