Bishop Owusu speaks on prophesying Shatta Wale’s gift to his mother
Shatta Wale’s recent gesture of gifting his mother, Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, a mansion has an intriguing backstory, one that involves a prophecy by Dr. Sam Owusu, the head pastor of Pottersville Church.
The pastor disclosed that he had foreseen this act of kindness and shared the prophecy with Mama Elsie long before it became a reality.
“I told Mama Elsie during one of our prayer sessions that her son would bless her with a home,” Dr. Owusu recounted. “It wasn’t just a prediction; it was a divine assurance, and to God’s glory, it came to pass exactly as revealed.”
Despite the fulfilment of his prophecy, Dr. Owusu chose to keep the matter private initially. “When the house was purchased, my social media team wanted to share the video of the prophecy and Mama Elsie’s confirmation. But I stopped them,” he explained.
“I didn’t want to appear as though I was seeking attention. Credibility as a man of God matters to me.”
However, when conversations about Shatta Wale’s gift began to gain traction, the pastor allowed his team to share the news, acknowledging their persistent requests to do so.
Interestingly, after receiving the house, Mama Elsie expressed concerns about its location, noting that it was far from the city center.
Dr. Owusu offered her reassurance, reminding her of the rapid development occurring in previously distant areas. “I told her, ‘The idea of distance is becoming less significant in today’s world. What matters is that you now have a home from the son you raised with so much sacrifice,’” he said.
The pastor also revealed that he and his fellow clergy had been praying for years for the success of Mama Elsie and her son.
Reflecting on the moment, he added, “She often lamented feeling neglected by her son. But now, God has shown His faithfulness. This gift is more than a house—it’s a symbol of restored love and answered prayers.”
