Camidoh’s manager details why gov’t, investors are needed for growth of music industry

Manager of artiste Camidoh, George Britton believes that the music industry in Ghana and even Africa needs a strong enabler.

He argues that the music business is now an expensive one and without the needed enablers, artistes cannot make their songs global hit songs.

George Britton who was making the world aware of the investments made to ensure sugarcane was a global hit said there will be a need for investments from the government and other angel investors to ensure that artistes in Ghana become global.

Disclosing the amount of money invested in the past year to ensure that sugarcane became a success, he said “Camidoh attained global success as one of Africa’s most streamed artists after spending just over Ghc975,000 in a year, on one song”.

Let me use Camidoh’s Sugarcane original and remix as a case study.
