Claims GHAMRO pays me Ghc20k every month untrue

William Kojo Johnson known by the stage name Stay Jay, an afrobeat artiste, has clarified that he never said he’s paid GH¢20,000 on a monthly basis.

The rapper who became popular for his Azonto style of music went viral after news emerged that he’s paid 20K every month by the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO).

Clarifying his statements on Property FM in Cape Coast, he said no musical organization pays beneficiaries on a monthly basis.

He told Amansan Krakye in an interview “I never said GHAMRO pays me 20K a month but the one interviewing me asked, however, I never made any such comments.

“GHAMRO pays and I was paid some months ago not less than 20K but I don’t know how the bloggers took it and coined it in their own way.

He explained monitored by MyNewsGh.com “Because I say it again no musical platform pays every month and I’ve been misquoted but I’m throwing the education on your platform”.
