Claims that Sarkodie is using Kweku Smoke to revive his ‘dead’ career is not cool—Lyrical Joe
Rapper Lyrical Joe has condemned comments suggesting Sarkodie is riding on Kwaku Smoke to revive his career.
According to him, such disrespect should not have any place in the showbiz industry.
Lyrical Joe was speaking to Amansan Krakye in an interview monitored by MyNewGh.com when he made this known.
To him, with Sarkodie’s achievements in the game, it is rather a blessing for young artistes to be featured on his music to leverage his followership and influence.
“People disrespect people on social media a lot because to write that Sarkodie is using Kweku Smoke to revive his dead career might be an agenda someone is pushing. I would never type such a thing even if I think so, but that’s someone’s opinion, though it’s not cool, but people will argue that Sarkodie features new acts,” he stated.
He acknowledged that over the years, Sarkodie has featured artistes who are upcoming, and therefore his feature with Kwaku Smoke should not be seen as a way of reviving his “dead career.”
Lyrical Joe cited himself as an example and a beneficiary when he got featured by Sarkodie.
“But is it true? Yes, it is true, but does featuring means he wants to take something away from them, as for that nobody knows so you can’t say this is what the person wants,” adding that “If you go into Sarkodie’s career, he has gained so much, but of course, he has a purpose for doing collabos anytime new acts come up, and he has featured me before.”
