Cooking your placenta and Kabbalah bracelets are not evil – Mystic Twins
Ghanaian spiritual duo Mystic Twins have defended controversial cultural practices, saying many are misunderstood.
In an interview on Joy Prime monitored by MyNewsGh, they encouraged the practice of cooking and consuming the placenta, explaining it strengthens family bonds:
“It is powerful to cook your placenta. Eat it with your family — add French fries. It binds you psychologically and spiritually. Most spiritual husbands that claim their wives are powerful, they add their placentas with their wives. There is nothing evil about it,” they said.
They also discussed mystical accessories like the red Kabbalah bracelet, stressing it is not a mere fashion item.
“This has to be tied onto you by someone that is willing to die for you. It’s not one of these red strings you order on Amazon. Every knot has to be recited 21 times with a certain kind of prayer,” the Twins explained.
Rejecting claims that such traditions are evil, they said Africans often abandon indigenous practices only to later seek spiritual help for problems that could have been avoided.
“It’s not always about killing chickens or blood rituals. It’s about tradition. But because it’s not in the name of Jesus, we think it’s bad. That’s why we are where we are today,” they concluded.
