D Black’s Oasis Pool and Shisha Lounge power cut off by ECG for power theft
MyNewsGh.com gathers that Oasis Pool and Shisha Lounge belonging to Rapper Desmond Blackmore known popularly as D-Black has been cut off from the national grid for power theft.
They are said to have engaged in bypassing the meter to use electricity.
The facility which is located just behind the Police Headquarters in Accra is said to have been engaged in the illegality for a very long time.
Operators of the facility were caught by the National Taskforce of the Electricity Company of Ghana.
Managers of the facility have been invited to the Headquarters of the Electricity Company of Ghana for further interrogations.
The Electricity Company of Ghana has for some weeks been on the heels of various Institutions to claim their cash. This is part of a move by the Energy Ministry to get money to keep power stable in Ghana.
The Energy Minister has said that people who are caught in such illegality will be prosecuted but indicated that if they agree to pay monies owed, the Ministry is ready to negotiate.
