Dada KD’s son credits family head for the peaceful burial of his father

Son of late highlife legend Dada KD, Jim Pee, has attributed the smooth and controversy-free burial of his father to the leadership and coordination of the family’s Abusuapanyin, affectionately known as Uncle Charles.

Speaking on Angel FM in Kumas monitored y MyNewsGh.com, Jim Pee praised the role the family head played in ensuring unity before, during, and after the funeral rites.

Highlighting his contribution, he said, “Our noble Abusuapanyin is the reason why my father’s burial came with no controversy.”

According to him, Uncle Charles demonstrated exceptional leadership at a time when tensions could easily have surfaced, especially in a large extended family structure.

Expressing gratitude, Jim Pee stated, “Our Abusuapanyin is called Uncle Charles, and God should bless him for how he coordinated my father’s funeral.”

He explained that the family head made deliberate efforts to reach out to everyone connected to Dada KD, ensuring inclusiveness and harmony.

Describing the process, he noted, “He spoke to everyone, all the children and women who were involved with my father. Through that, he united us all for the funeral.”

Jim Pee revealed that the leadership did not end with the burial. Even matters concerning royalties and other posthumous affairs are being handled with the same level of transparency and coordination.

Emphasising this ongoing effort, he added, “Even now, some royalties are coming, and he has called us all and is coordinating this very well.”

He also spoke warmly about the atmosphere during the funeral, particularly among the women in his father’s life.

Reflecting on the unity displayed, Jim Pee said, “The stepmothers were very friendly. They even acted like siblings during the funeral.”
