Dada KD’s son details exactly what happeed in his dying moments
Mr Gyimah Peterson, son of late highlife legend Dada KD, has firmly denied claims that his father left behind a suicide note before his death, insisting that he knows the true circumstances surrounding the incident.
Speaking on Angel FM in Kumasi monitored by MyNewsGh.com, the musician widely known as Jim Pee addressed widespread speculation that followed the musician’s passing.
Responding directly to the allegations, he stated, “I have no idea about the suicide note my father allegedly wrote before his death.”
He emphasised that while rumours have circulated, he personally never saw any such document. “I never saw any suicide note, but I heard people saying it,” he added, dismissing the claim as unverified talk.
Providing what he described as the actual account of events, Jim Pee explained that someone who was staying with his father discovered him after returning home from writing an examination.
Narrating the sequence carefully, he said, “The person staying with him went to write an exams. Upon his return, he found my father lying there unconscious on the couch, but he thought he was asleep.”
According to him, the situation did not immediately appear alarming. The individual reportedly proceeded into the kitchen before returning to speak to Dada KD.
Detailing the moment of realisation, Jim Pee continued, “He went into the kitchen and came back to ask Dada if he would not eat. He tried waking him up, but he didn’t wake up. He was very heavy.”
It was at that point, he said, that something unusual was noticed. “He checked beside him and saw that there was a broken glass,” Jim Pee recounted, suggesting that the discovery indicated his father had already passed on.
He concluded by reiterating his position: “I know the true story behind my father’s death and it was not suicide”
