Despite’s Best Point paid me Ghc500 for ‘aponkyeniti’ Pensions TV Ad
Revered Actor Psalm Adjeteyfio known popular for the character played in the popular Taxi Driver series as TT has indicated that he was paid GHC 500 for the role he played in the popular Best Point Pension advert.
There have been concerns on where monies the actor has made throughout his career as an actor.
But TT has indicated that monies paid for various roles do not commensurate the name he made and even the hype adverts he featured in received on National Television and Radio.
“I called the guy, Louis and I said don’t you have anything going, I’m as broke as a Churchmouse. He told me there was a job but the money was small. I pushed to do it because by then, I had no money and no hope anywhere. So the guy said he will contact his boss and get back to me.
He called to tell me we could shoot the advert but his boss wanted to talk to me. When the boss called, he said the budget for the advert was GHC 300 but since it’s me, he will want to add something small to it.
He did not tell me the amount he wanted to add. During the day for the shoot, I met with the guy I shot the advert with, there was no script, we were just given information on what is expected of us. So I coined the “aponkyeniti, Otwiniti ni ti” and lo and behold, that was what sold the advert,” he said in an interview with Step 1 TV.
Donations Made
Vice President Bawumia has extended his philanthropic works to the Veteran Ghanaian actor, Psalm Adjeteyfio famously known as TT of Taxi Driver fame after news broke out that the actor is in some difficulties in paying his rent bill.
