Diana Hamilton credits her aunt for pushing her into music

Diana Hamilton has opened up about the pivotal role her aunt played in her music career.

She shared how her aunt, who was a member of the church she attended, noticed her singing talent and pushed her to perform publicly, even when she wasn’t ready.

“She’d give my name to the elders of the church, and I’d be so crossed. She’d shout at me to go sing,” Diana recalled, smiling at the memory during an interview with Bola Ray on the Starr Chat show monitored by MyNewsGh.

Although her aunt’s encouragement came in the form of tough love, Diana is deeply grateful for it.

“My aunt didn’t say it in the nicest of ways, but I’m glad she did. She was the one who made me sing in public,” Diana reflected. Her aunt saw something in her that Diana hadn’t fully recognized in herself yet.

Even now, Diana is thankful for the push her aunt gave her, shaping the artist she is today.

“She’s still around, and I’m so proud of her. She made me do what I love, and I’ll forever be grateful for that,” Diana said, clearly holding her aunt in high regard.
