Do you make $800,000 a year?” Daddy Freeze challenges Peller’s critics

Media personality Daddy Freeze has criticised those urging popular streamer Peller to abandon content creation and return to school, arguing that education beyond secondary level should depend on one’s career path.

In a video response, Daddy Freeze slammed the critics who aruge that Peller should prioritise university over streaming.

Referencing global streamer IShowSpeed, he noted that the YouTuber reportedly earns about $800,000 a month.

“Do you make $800,000 a year?” he asked, suggesting that some critics may not fully appreciate the financial potential of digital platforms.

He questioned why successful young creators should be pressured to follow traditional routes if they are already thriving. “They should now leave it and come and become you?” he said, addressing those advising Peller to step away from content creation.

Daddy Freeze clarified that he is not against education. “School is not a scam. Go to school,” he stated.

However, he added that, in his view, only secondary school education should be considered compulsory. Beyond that, he believes decisions should align with career goals.

According to him, professions such as medicine, law, engineering, nursing, accounting and pharmacy require university training.

But for those in the creative industry, he questioned the necessity of formal higher education.

“You are in the creative world. I don’t see what you are doing in the university,” he said.
