‘Emmoa Asem Nkoaa’ campaign song is not an insult to Mahama- Great Ampong
Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong affectionately called ”The Great Ampong”, a Ghanaian gospel Music icon has denied insulting former President John Dramani Mahama.
According to the singer, his political song titled ‘Emmoa Asem Nkoaa’ is not an insult but an indication of what the former president has been saying during his campaign tour.
“The message behind my song Emmoa Asem Nkoaaa is not an insult to the former president or NDC members but it’s part of our Akan language,” he told Amansan Krakye.
“I’m trying to say that anything that the former president says is about food and animals just like he recently said in Accra that when we want Kenkey to eat you say digitalization,” he added on Property FM.
He continued “So you can see that his promises are all about food and meat and so that’s why I did that song that the world is moving forward in high tech not discotec”.
Great Ampong who is a staunch member of the New Patriotic Party recently released his campaign song featuring Kaakyire Kwame Appiah and has been criticized by many people on social media.
