False narratives will be traced

Senator Ned Nwoko has initiated formal complaints to multiple security agencies, seeking investigations into what he describes as a coordinated campaign of cyber harassment and criminal defamation.

In a statement issued by his office, he said the surge of “online harassment, cyber stalking and coordinated defamatory publications” against him had reached a threshold requiring lawful intervention.

According to the statement, the alleged actions appear aimed at creating “a false narrative of persecution.”

The senator has instructed his legal team to file petitions with the Inspector General of Police, the Director General of the Department of State Services and the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Cybercrime Unit.

He emphasized that digital evidence would be traced to ensure accountability through established legal procedures.

The statement further warned against what it described as an emerging trend of shielding offenders through public sympathy.

“The growing culture of supporting deviant conduct is damaging to our national values,” it noted, calling on Nigerians to disregard circulating allegations and allow investigative institutions to handle the matter.

Senator Nwoko stressed that he remains committed to his legislative duties and will not be drawn into what he referred to as online distractions.
