Ghanaian media persons suffering; paid peanuts as salaries – Veteran Actor
Controversial Ghanaian actor, Oboy Siki born Nana Ofori Agyemang says media owners do not offer good salaries to their workers’ reasons most of them are struggling.
“People in the media are not being paid well”, Oboy Siki claimed
The actor made this statement while speaking on the issue of poor remuneration and salaries of actors in the Kumawood movie industry where he alleged that, people in the industry have not been treated well when it comes to monetary issues.
Linking the issue with the media on SIKKA FM in Kumasi, Oboy Siki revealed that, “the situation is the same in the media. They have not been paid well”.
Explaining his statement, the ace actor said, “Let’s take for instance, someone who has no other skill, all he has is that, the person went to media school, completed and is now employed. With such a person because he has nothing to do apart from working in the media, he/she would be compelled to accept any amount offered him as salary”.
