Ghanaians will still suffer if billions of dollars are made from wee- Ayesem
‘Koti’ hitmaker, Ayesem has said that no matter the huge sums we make from the legalization of marijuana known in local parlance as WEE, still, ordinary Ghanaians will continue to live in poverty because we are in a corrupt country.
He said “Research has shown that there are a lot of advantages attached to the use of marijuana that most people don’t know and besides it brings a lot of money into the country but we are in a country which is already a corrupt country.
“If we bring all the crocodiles in Paga and come and sell it at Takoradi still those in Paga won’t have any benefits so even if we make huge sums from wee business the ordinary Ghanaian won’t have any significant change in their lives,” he told Amansan Krakye
The rapper and songwriter used to advocate for the legalization of marijuana in Ghana but he has changed his mind due to the manner in which we abuse certain things in this country.
He added on Cape Coast’s Kastle FM “I feel that the one roll or two rolls of the wee that the Rastaman will smoke is not what will make the country collapse but one thing about Ghana is that we always find a way to abuse certain things in this country.
“Before I was advocating for the legalization of wee but later I realized that in this country we abuse certain things so if we legalize it the rate at which people would use it will be too much and even now that it’s illegal look at how people are abusing it,” he revealed monitored by MyNewsGh.com
