Vida Essel-LampteyPopular radio and television counselor, Rev. Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, also known as Counselor Lutterodt has asked men who paid for the wedding gowns of their brides to go for their money.
According to him, buying a wedding gown was the responsibility of the woman’s family and not the will-be groom.
“Are you aware that on your day of marriage, the wedding gown is not bought by the man, any man who has bought a wedding gown for a woman, go and collect your money from the family. It is the woman’s family who is suppose to by it”.
The popular radio counselor made the comment on TV3 NewDay on Friday, June 25 2021 monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
He said every attire won on the engagement or the traditional marriage day, through to the civil ceremony was the cost of the woman’s family and not the groom’s.
“On the engagement, the 20 dresses she wears is bought by her family not the man’s money.
“So If you watch carefully what the man spent on naturally is the cost that he is suppose to incur as a request from the woman’s family,” he said.
