God bless you – Sarkodie honours Shatta Wale’s persistence
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has praised fellow musician Shatta Wale for his resilience, highlighting his 10-year comeback in the music industry.
“Shatta Wale, Nyame Nhyira wo papa, papa, papa,” Sarkodie said in a video sighted by MyNewsGh, offering a blessing to his colleague.
“One thing I can tell you is that story of you going and coming back… it shows us that if something negative happens, even if it goes on for a week or two, most people may give up.
“But for you to hold on for 10 years, that should tell you something.”
He added, “That’s a lesson in life: it’s never over until it’s over. I’m super proud of you, and today, being a special day, I want to celebrate that.”
Sarkodie’s tribute comes as Ghana marks its 69th Independence Day, emphasizing both Shatta Wale’s professional dedication and the broader theme of persistence in the face of challenges.
