Godwin’s experience reminds us everyone is fighting a Hidden Battle – Management

The management of rising Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has officially shared an update on his health following a serious injury sustained during a film shoot late last year.
According to a statement released by his team, the actor suffered a severe chest injury on December 22, 2023, during a gym scene gone wrong, which involved a fallen weight. The incident necessitated a two-month recovery period.
However, it has now been revealed that the accident was linked to an on-set altercation involving popular actor Zubby Michael. Reports indicate that Nnadiekwe was kicked during a dramatic scene, which led to the chest trauma requiring urgent hospitalization.
“Godwin’s experience brings to light a powerful truth. Everyone is fighting a battle we know nothing about. Our actions, even when well-intentioned, can have unforeseen harm to colleagues,” the statement read.
The actor’s management called for empathy and reflection within the film industry, urging both professionals and fans to be mindful of the physical and emotional toll that creative work can sometimes take.
They also asked the public to keep Godwin in their thoughts and prayers as he continues to heal from the incident.
“Please join us in extending your thoughts and prayers to Godwin as he continues to heal,” the message concluded.
As of now, neither Zubby Michael nor his representatives have commented publicly on the incident. The Nollywood community awaits further updates as investigations into the matter continue.
