How the holy spirit led Ohemaa Mercy to seek divorce from her husband
Musician Ohemaa Mercy has opened up about why she decided to leave her marriage after several years together with her husband.
She explains that the Holy Spirit led her to ask for divorce from her husband because she needed to pursue her ministry.
According to her, her husband agreed that she needed to be unmarried to experience the unction of God and God’s hands upon her life.

The musician who was speaking on Accra-based TV3 indicated that it was after her divorce that she experienced the hand of God in her life.
“I was actually depending on Man. I had the confirmation from God. If I didn’t get that confirmation, I wouldn’t have gone through with it.
I really want us to have a break. I need to move around with the ministry, and I know that is your passion for me, so let me run with it; let’s take care of the kids and help each other. If I’m going through something, we talk about it; let’s take care of the kids because I don’t want to fail God,” she said on Accra-based TV3.
Ohemaa Mercy indicated that they have kept a cordial relationship after their divorce, saying “We talk every day and we help each other.”
She advised women who are going through divorce not to see their husbands as their enemies because they have a covenant because of the children they have together.
