I called her evil – Doris Ogala on past beef with Mercy Johnson
While appealing for Angela Okorie’s release, Doris Ogala also revisited a painful chapter from her past involving Mercy Johnson, using it as a lesson on forgiveness and misunderstanding.
In her Instagram video, Ogala recalled how she once fell out with Mercy after hearing damaging claims in 2012. “They told me Mercy said she wouldn’t work with me,” she said. “When I heard it, I started crying.”
According to her, the information came from a third party, and she reacted without confirming it. “I called her and insulted her,” Ogala admitted. “I said she was evil and cut the call.”
The misunderstanding led to years of tension between the two actresses. “We stayed apart for a long time because of that lie,” she explained.
Their relationship only began to heal when they later met during another industry incident. “She hugged me and said she never said those things,” Ogala recalled. “I was shocked.”
She said the experience taught her how quickly false information can destroy relationships. “We lost years because of what people said,” she noted.
Using that story, Ogala urged Mercy Johnson not to allow the situation with Angela to create permanent damage. “Please don’t let this become another long fight,” she said. “We are one family.”
She emphasized that reconciliation is possible even after serious conflict. “Angela has offended me too,” she said. “But she is still my sister.”
