I didn’t vote with my entire life savings to win VGMA Best Rap Performance
Best Rap Performance awardee, Lyrical Joe born Joseph Gamor has disclosed that he didn’t vote massively with his life savings to win at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Speaking during an interview on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM, Lyrical Joe said the Best Rap Performance category was decided by the technical board so it wasn’t decided on who had the most votes.
Lyrical Joe was asked by Amansan Krakye if rumors circulating on social media that he’s broke after using his entire life savings in voting massively to win the award.
He answered “Then that would have been good to have used my life savings in voting to win the VGMA Best Rap Performance, it means it has done something good for me.
“But the VGMA board this year, with this particular category it wasn’t much about voting, it was decided by the technical board who knows the criteria,” he continued.
“So with this one you can’t bribe anybody, you can’t persuade anyone and you can’t vote massively to win the Best Rapper of the Year at this year’s VGMA,” he ended on the Kastle Entertainment Show.
