I have never followed up on my royalties with GHAMRO-  Empress Gifty

Gospel musician Empress Gifty has revealed that she has never followed up on the paid royalties by the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) since the commencement of her music career.

GHAMRO is a royalties collection agency within Ghana, that represents the rights of music copyright holders but the majority of musicians are not happy with the institution given the paltry sums they get.

During an interview on Onua FM, Empress Gifty mentioned that her manager receives her royalties when GHAMRO calls to pay her but she has never followed up.

She mentioned that she doesn’t stress herself following up because she knows she deserves it due to her hard work and investment.

“My royalties go to my manager, Steven Akujah. But I have never followed up pm my royalties. I believe that when you do your work well and you know your worth, you won’t stress yourself over such issues.” The day the system will work, we will all follow up. Although I don’t channel my energy to that, I know I deserve it because everything I get as royalties is because of my hard work and my money investment.” She disclosed.
