I prefer to keep my personal life private – M.anifest
M.anifest opened up about pivotal moments in his career and family life and even addressed curious questions about his relationship status in a conversation with ace broadcaster Bola Ray on Starr Chat monitored by MyNewsGh.
When asked if he’s married or in a relationship, M.anifest playfully dodged the specifics.
“You might need to DM me for such information,” he teased. “Or just listen to my music – all the truths are in there.”
While staying tight-lipped about the details, he made it clear that personal matters are something he prefers to keep private.
Shifting the focus to his career, M.anifest described moving back to Ghana in 2011 as a defining moment.
“I began a career in the US and had opportunities in Europe, but I literally transferred my life to Ghana and started again,” he said.
The move came with challenges, especially with his alternative style of music. “It wasn’t what the majority were doing. People wondered if I would stick to this path or try to conform, but I chose to be inventive.”
Reflecting on his journey, he expressed gratitude for the progress he’s made. “Every year, I’m adding something new.
There was a time when even making a living from music felt far-fetched, but now I’m doing things of more substance. I never think I’ve ‘made it’ because that’s the moment you start falling off.”
On the family front, M.anifest confirmed a heartwarming detail about his personal life.
Responding to a question about a photo of a young boy circulating online, he revealed, “Yes, he’s my son. He’s 14 now, and his nickname is Minest. My mother is Mama Fest, so it’s a whole festive family affair.”
