I still have his unreleased songs – Possigee speaks on Dada KD’s hidden music

Sound engineer Possigee has revealed that the late Highlife musician, Dada KD, left behind numerous unreleased songs in his possession, and he is still keeping the data.

Speaking in an interview with Amansan Krakye, he said,

“I have the data for so many unreleased songs from Dada KD. He recorded an album in 2022 and brought all the songs to me for mixing.

“The plan was to begin mixing and mastering once he secured an executive producer, but unfortunately, that never happened.

“Because of that, all the songs are still with me. I haven’t even started mixing them yet. Also, I don’t know anyone from his management to hand over the songs to.”

He added,

“If any of his family members contacts me, I will gladly give the songs to them. But I won’t release them to just anyone who claims to have worked with Dada KD.”

The late Ghanaian Highlife musician, Nana Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Dada KD, will be laid to rest on Saturday, 16th August 2025. His funeral will include a state-assisted burial at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.
