Ghanaian hip-hop, hip-life rapper, Bogo Blay has opened up about some of his struggles in life prior to making it to the lime light.
According to him, he used to carry mortor at construction sites in Tema to survive.
He said despite winning several reality shows which goes with the promise of recording him and promoting it for free, such had never been the case as many requested for money after recording which he didn’t have at the time.
The ‘Jango’ hit maker made the revelation on Best Entertainment With Halifax Addo on Okay FM on Friday monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
“When you win the reality show they will tell you they will record your song and promote you for free, but when you finish recording, they will ask you to bring something but me too I didn’t have that something small at that time, I was at Tema doing construction,”
“I use to carry motor, everybody who knows me in my area knows me as that hardworking hustler who has being carried mortor .You know we don’t do it at one area, when you get the job for two days, it takes about two weeks before you will get another so we go round construction site to look for some.
“I also worked with devtraco for a while, sometimes when you are lucky you get to stay at some estate for about three weeks, as for there, work goes on every day,” he added.

Bogo Blay emerged the winner of 2018 Vodafone Icons, however, unlike many others he did not make to the lime light as expected.
The versatile musician however, shot to fame in January last year, when he released his track jango and the rest had been history.
He said he owe his achievement to hard works and a few friends who believed in him and supported his brand adding you can achieve everything you want to achieve if you set your mind to it.
Bola Blay is current not on any record label.
