The 2023 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) is slated for Saturday 6th of May at the Accra International Conference Center and nominees are making predictions ahead of the biggest night.

Epixode who had four nominations in different categories with his ‘Atia’ hit song told Amansan Krakye in an interview that he’ll be grateful to win Highlife Song of the Year.

Speaking on Cape Coast-based Property FM, he said “You see if winning the VGMA depends solely on the academy like I would be able to beat my chest and say that I will win Highlife Song of the Year.

He opined “Because within that particular category, I can say that Atia did very well but it also depends on votes so I will urge the fans to vote for me to be able to win.

He justified on Property Showbiz “For me this particular win will get me excited because it will push other artistes who feel they rap but the person might be a good singer, however, the person is afraid to try in case it doesn’t work out.

“But this actually gives the other artistes who want to venture into different genres the kind of motivation to try that at least I’ve done it then they can also do it,” Epixode added on the show.

“So for the VGMA night if I win all the four awards I’ll be glad but I think winning Highlife Song of the Year, I’ll be very grateful,” he ended as MyNewsGh.com sighted.
