Vida Essel-LampteyRenowned Media General’s presenter and entertainment host, Gloria Akpene Nyarku, MzGee has opened up about her husband’s COVID-19 status for the first time.
According to her, she was frightened she was going to be a widow at a very young age when her husband had the disease.
“Unfortunately for me, the year started on a very uncertain and precarious note and that is because my husband contracted the deadly coronavirus two days to Christmas and was unsure because of the many stories we had heard about coronavirus and people dying”.
“Low key I was frighten that I was going to be a widow at a very young age,” she added.
The bubbly presenter and Simply Showbiz host spoke about her fears at the time her husband, Mr Raymond Acquah was battling the deadly COVID-19 disease in a video she shared on Wednesday, March 31.
He noted by God’s grace her husband had recovered from the disease and had since reunite with her in their matrimonial home.
MzGee’s husband share COVID-19 Survivors story
MzGee’s husband, Mr Raymond Acquah went public with his COVID-19 survival story on January 9, about a month after he contacted the disease.
He wrote in a twitter post that he had asked God to take away his life at a point so he could get some relief from his pain.
In an interview with JoyNews’s PM Express he revealed taken a medication was even a challenge since he was practically tired of doing so.
Mr Acquah recounted having been administered medication close to 50 times or even more at the hospital where he was being treated for the disease.
He expressed his appreciation to his wife, MzGee most especially, for her support during the critical point in his life.
#Covid-19 brought me to the lowest ebb! There was a point, I just asked God to take my life away and put me out of my misery! But God came through for me. I am also eternally grateful to my wife MzGee Ghana, who braved the storm to help me pull through it all!
