I was paid GHC50 for my role in ‘Azonto Ghost’ movie – Lil Win
Popular Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Ankansah best known on screens as Lil Win has revealed that, his first paid role in movies was GHC50 after he became famous.
The movie “Azonto Ghost” to date remains one of the best-selling and most popular Kumawoood films. The movie also saw Ghanaian highlife star Bisa Kdei come to the limelight in the music industry after doing the background music.
But Lil Win who was one of the leading characters in the movies says he was paid only GHC50 for his role.
According to him, he wasn’t discouraged by this because he loved what he does and knew a time will come things were going to change.
“I was paid GHC50 for my role in Azonto Ghost. And in all that, I wasn’t discouraged”. Lil Win said this in an interview with Kumasi-based Nhyira FM monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
The actor also revealed that he did all of these with love and it is the reason behind his success story in the industry which has now made him a star.
