I won’t allow my daughters to marry pastors – Rev. Charlotte Oduro
Renowned counselor and preacher Rev. Charlotte Oduro has made a bold declaration, stating that she will not allow her daughters to marry pastors.
Speaking passionately during a sermon at her church, she cited her personal experiences and disillusionment with pastoral marriages as the reason behind her stance.
“I won’t allow my daughters to marry pastors,” she said firmly. “I have been through it, and I know what it means. Let them marry from different backgrounds, but not pastors.”
Rev. Oduro, who recently divorced Apostle Solomon Oduro, suggested that her past experiences with her ex-husband had shaped her views on pastoral marriages.
She also dismissed the idea of extravagant white weddings in a church setting for her children, stating: “I will not do a white wedding in a church for any of my children. “I will rather gather a few family members at home and bless their marriage in a simple way.”
Expressing her concerns about the state of the church, she lamented that the sanctity of the altar had been compromised, with some men of God engaging in questionable behavior.
“The altar is no longer sacred,” she declared. “Many so-called men of God are doing things that defile it, and I don’t want to be part of that. If we continue like this, God’s wrath will come upon us.”
