Ignorants and hypocrites criticize songs I write for gospel musicians
Eugene Kwame Marfo, who goes by the stage name Kuami Eugene, a Ghanaian Highlife singer, has responded to those who criticize his songwriting for gospel artistes.
Kuami Eugene who wrote ‘Victory’ for Joyce Blessing and ‘Watch Me’ for Empress Gifty said its ignorance and hypocrisy that makes people condemn the gospel songs he wrote.
Talking to Amansan Krakye, he said “When I hear someone criticize songs that I wrote for gospel musicians what I feel basically is about two things which are ignorance and hypocrisy.
“It’s ignorance because the person doesn’t understand what they’re saying and they have no idea about what they are talking about,” he said
“And it’s hypocrisy because if they had that idea and the gift or talent to write songs for gospel musicians I don’t think they would come and condemn what I did,” he revealed.
“The fact that a Hiplife artiste wrote a song for a gospel musician and again what’s the difference between us who do secular music and those who do gospel music”.
