I’m looking forward to a spectacular performance on the TGMA stage – 2025 Unsung Artiste winner, Yaw Darling
Samuel Yaw Antwi, better known in music circles as Yaw Darling, is all fired up for a show-stopping performance at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), set to take place on Saturday, May 10.
The rising Afrobeats sensation, who was officially named the 2025 Unsung Artiste of the Year on Thursday, shared his excitement in an interview on Cape Coast-based Property FM, expressing gratitude for the recognition and promising a memorable showcase.
“On Saturday at the TGMA main event the Unsung Artiste award will be given to me on the stage and on Saturday I’ll also perform. That’s where I’ll prove to everyone that I truly deserve the award, and I’m going to be performing live with a live band,” he stated.
Yaw Darling made it clear that his performance will not only be about entertainment but also a proud representation of his roots.
“It’ll be a great day and everyone must make time to watch me because I’ll be going to the stage to represent the Central Region, so Saturday will be a great day.”
The Unsung Artiste category, powered by Close Up Ghana in collaboration with the British Council, is designed to spotlight emerging artists who show immense promise and have made significant strides in the music scene.
Yaw Darling’s selection comes after a breakthrough year highlighted by the success of his hit single “PASSWORD”, which has been widely streamed and applauded for its vibrant production and catchy lyrics.
