I’m not telling Trump what to do, but Altadena deserves attention – The Game speaks up

The devastation of wildfires in California is nothing new, but what often gets overlooked is how disaster relief and media attention tend to favour certain communities over others.
Rapper The Game has taken issue with this selective concern, calling out then-President Donald Trump for visiting only the affluent Pacific Palisades neighbourhood while ignoring the wildfire-stricken community of Altadena.
In an Instagram video uploaded on Wednesday, January 29, The Game stood among the charred remains of a family home in Altadena, directly addressing the disparity in attention.
“Most of the big media outlets, the president… I think President Trump went over to the affected areas of Pacific Palisades, but he didn’t make his way to Altadena,” he stated.
The Game highlighted the stark contrast in response, making it clear that communities like Altadena, which don’t boast the same wealth or celebrity presence as Pacific Palisades, often get overlooked in moments of crisis.
Though The Game refrained from directly telling Trump what to do, he made his stance clear: “I’m not telling President Trump what he has to do or what he should do or nothing like that, but let’s not forget about Altadena.”
