I’m shocked – Gifty Anti replies Education Ministry PRO on destroying homes
Ace broadcaster Oheneyere Gifty Anti has described a statement by the Spokesperson of the Education Ministry Mr. Kwasi Kwarteng claiming that she has destroyed homes of most ladies with her feminism sermons as a shock.
“The shock is that he is from an institution that is to make sure that women go to school”, Oheneyere Gifty Anti observed
This PRO of the Ministry of Education Mr. Kwasi Kwarteng accused Oheneyere Gifty Anti of propagating sermons on feminism that has destroyed young women who listened to her in time past
In a Facebook post, Kwasi Kwarteng wrote “This is what you did and destroyed the identity of many young women who followed you religiously but blindly”.
“Sadly, you have reduced life to a competition between men and women. In your attempt to help young women find their identity, you erroneously created an impression as if the only thing they need in this world is their career and that life is all about how they can be better than men”, he said.
However, responding to Kwasi Kwarteng on Accra-based Hitz FM in an interview with Addy Dosty, Oheneyere Gifty Anti said “I don’t respond to people who say things about me on social media. If he had a question for me I would answer.
According to Oheneyere Gifty Anti, the PRO who works at the Education Ministry should have known better and supported the course but he did the otherwise.
“The shock is that he is from an institution that is to make sure that women go to school and to think that if the person goes to school then the persons doesn’t believe in marriage or becomes disrespectful…….”, Oheneyere Gifty Anti said.
“You know a lot of people say these things and I think what is making this one trend is that this person is coming from a ministry and he’s supposed to be pushing the rights of women to be interested in education and to be empowered otherwise this is no news to me”, she added.
