I’m surprised Afia Pokua wasn’t brave before Asante Chief – Kweku Darlington
Kumasi-based musician, Kweku Darlington has shared his opinion about Afia Pokua, who made certain remarks about the Ashanti Kingdom during a discussion on Onua TV and subsequently appeared before Asante Chiefs.
According to the songwriter, he was surprised that Afia Pokua couldn’t display the same bravery she showed on Onua TV when she met the Asanteman chiefs and elders at the Manhyia Palace.
Speaking on Cape Coast’s Property FM, he said “Afia Pokua deserves the treatment she was given when she met the Asanteman elders and there’s no way I’ll say anything to defend her.
“The courage and bravado she got on TV saying those things, I’m surprised she looked weak and frail when she met the elders at the palace.
“If you are afraid why did she say those things she said on TV and it’s today that things have become easy like in the past who are you to author those words some years ago,” he observed.
“If she said that sometime in the past she will face dire consequences and so we should be mindful of what we say about our Chiefs and elders,” he cautioned.
