Increase salaries of workers before introducing ‘unacceptable’ E-Levy
Award-winning Hip-Hop artiste, Edward Agyemang Amoah known by the stage name Kofi Mole, has added his voice to the ongoing controversy surrounding the introduction of the E-levy.
“We don’t have to accept the E-levy because all the time the money that we make finds a way to leave our pockets,” he fumed.
He justified, “Already we pay charges for electronic transactions and adding this on top of what we’ve been paying already is like killing us quick”.
Sharing his opinion about the Electronic-Levy, Kofi Mole said we don’t have to accept it because the cost of living keeps increasing with no increment in salaries of workers.
“When you consider salaries of workers it still remains the same and prices of goods and services keep increasing,” he told Amansan Krakye in an interview.
“We would understand for them to bring the E-levy if salaries were increased but if it remains the same then we’re being stifled to death,” he said on the Kastle Entertainment Show.
“It won’t be easy if it’s finally introduced so they need to consider us otherwise sending money will become a problem,” he ended on Cape Coast’s Kastle FM.
