I’ve grown beyond your useless criticisms – Rex Omar shades hits back at critics
The Chairman of the Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) has lashed out at people criticizing him saying he doesn’t care about what they say anymore because he is focused on fixing the organization.
“I have been focused, and taken my mind from what people say, I don’t care because I didn’t go there to still anybody’s money. I went there to fix a system. And that is exactly what I am doing”. Chairman of GHAMRO Mr. Rex Owusu Marfo, popularly known as Rex Omar said in an interview with Pure FM in Kumasi monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
Rex Omar on the other hand revealed that, the biggest challenge of GHHAMRO currently is the fact that there is not a reliable system that checks the distribution of benefits for its members.
According to him, his prayers is for the organization to get to a level where there will be a technology that will help them fairly distribute royalties for both the big and young artistes so that they will have confidence in GHAMRO.
“And I thank God that it is beginning. This is just the beginning. My prayer is for GHAMRO to become one of the best CMOs in Africa”, he adds.
Meanwhile, one of Ghana’s music producers of all time Hammer of the Last Two has criticized Rex Omar saying he has mismanaged the organization after he took over as the Chairman.
Rex became Chairman of the Ghana Music Right Organization in 2017.
