Jim Iyke pens unfiltered birthday tribute to Kate Henshaw
Nollywood actor Jim Iyke caused a stir on social media after posting a raw, deeply personal, and profanity-laced birthday tribute to veteran actress Kate Henshaw on her birthday, July 19.
In the post, Iyke reflected on their shared past, admitting to youthful recklessness during their relationship.
“F**k you, coz when you finally lemme hit it, I was at the apex of my singular wildness and restlessness,” he wrote, candidly acknowledging how fame and poor choices strained their bond.
He recalled how Kate eventually distanced herself, married a foreigner, and had a child—something he later admired. “It did end in praise. I was so proud,” he added.
In the second part of his tribute, Iyke turned from personal reflection to public admiration, blaming Henshaw for setting impossible beauty standards that have affected young women.
“F**k you on behalf of these young girls killing themselves… trying to figure out how to keep up with you,” he joked, describing the physical extremes many pursue in a world obsessed with appearance.
From Botox and lasers to Brazilian butt lifts and waist trainers, Jim lamented how nothing could replicate Henshaw’s natural charm, discipline, and consistency. “Nature, commitment and sacrifice didn’t create it. It can’t be manufactured… It’s a KATE HENSHAW world,” he concluded.
The tribute, though provocative, was seen by fans as a mix of humor, regret, honesty, and deep respect for Henshaw’s ageless beauty and enduring relevance in the entertainment industry.
