King Paluta’s Aseda is a Gospel Song which inspires me
Gospel musician Joyce Blessing has described King Paluta’s hit song, Aseda as a gospel song adding that the song inspires her.
During a discussion on Hitz FM following controversy when a Catholic Priest went viral after he was seen jamming to King Paluta’s Aseda during Mass, Joyce Blessing stated that there was nothing wrong with the video of the Priest singing Aseda.
According to her, the hypocrisy among most Christians is too much adding that every good and perfect gift comes from God hence the song of King Paluta is also a gift from God.
Joyce Blessing further dismissed the notion that King Paluta’s song is secular and passed it for a gospel song.
“King Paluta’s Aseda is a gospel song. Everyone has their own mindset. Sometimes, there is too much hypocrisy. Every good gift comes from God. You cannot sit somewhere and say King Paluta belongs to the devil because he does not perform gospel songs. What kind of songs do you think he is performing?”
“I really listen to his songs. If you listen to the story behind the songs, you will see that he has gone through a lot in life and God has finally elevated his status. We all have to support him.” She said
It would be recalled that the acting Rector of St. Stephen Rectorate, Bodomase in the Ashanti region, Rev. Father Peter Kusi Twumasi, was compelled to render an unqualified apology to his superiors and the church for leading his congregation to sing King Paluta’s Aseda.
He indicated that he had no intentions to disrespect the traditions of the Catholic Church.
