Kofi Nti shares fond memories of Daasebre Gyamenah 5 years after his demise
‘Akonta’ hitmaker, Kofi Nti has shared some fond memories of the late Daasebre Gyamenah five years after his unfortunate demise.
Talking to Amansan Krakye on the Kastle Entertainment Show, Kofi Nti said he used to play a lot of shows with Daasebre so he’s extremely sad that he’s no more existing.
“I’m really sad to be remembering Daasebre after five years of his demise because I used to play a lot of shows with him at Obuasi and a lot of places,” he remarked on Kastle FM.
“Whenever he saw me we used to chat, laugh and whichever money I was entitled to he made sure I wasn’t cheated so he was such a nice person,” he continued.
He added, “My big brother Daasebre was really a good human being because even when I’m not around he takes my money on my behalf and gives it to me when I show up”.
Daasebre Gyamenah was a Ghanaian Highlife musician who became very popular for his hit song ‘Kokooko’ which featured Lord Kenya in 1999.
His death in 2016 came as a shock to many music lovers after he spent some months in prison due to his arrest at the Heathrow airport when his luggage was found to have contained cocaine.
