Koo Fori sparks controversy after handcuffed video surfaces amid $50k fraud allegations
Ghanaian screen legend Seth Kwabena Kyere Karikari, affectionately known as Koo Fori has found himself in serious trouble.
A video making the rounds on social media on Friday, May 9, 2025, shows the veteran actor in handcuffs, being escorted by police officers to what appears to be the Accra Central Police Command.
While the visuals have left fans in shock, reports suggest Koo Fori was allegedly arrested for defrauding a Ghanaian businessman based in the United States to the tune of $50,000.
Known for his unforgettable portrayal of a comic drunkard in the long-running local TV series Efiewura, Koo Fori has more recently served as the General Manager of Bryt TV, a station headquartered in Accra.
However, the situation has raised eyebrows, with some speculating that the footage might be from a yet-to-be-announced film project rather than an actual arrest.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement to confirm or debunk the claims, leaving the public in suspense over whether this is a case of real-life drama or cleverly crafted fiction.
