Kwabena Kwabena disappointed in the NPP government
Ghanaian musician, guitarist, and accomplished construction technician Kwabena Kwabena born George Kwabena Adu is disappointed in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government given that he campaigned for them to come to power in 2016.
During an interview on Okay FM, Kwabena Kwabena who was one of the agile celebrities who campaigned for the NPP and current President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, expressed his disappointment over the performance of the current administration.
The silence of the President over the increasing galamsey menace in Ghana now he indicated is the source of his disappointment recounting how Akufo-Addo vowed to fight Galamsey by putting his presidency on the line.
“I am a man of integrity. Honestly, I am not happy about the performance of the government I campaigned for; especially the President. Look at our water bodies now. I campaigned and voted for Nana Addo because I saw him as a gentile man and a man of his word. I remember he said he was going to put his presidency on the line concerning the illegal mining happening in Ghana. The comment he made was very wild. If he was in a European country, it would have been a different story. Looking at the state of the water bodies and the fact that I’ve not heard him address it makes me sad.” He bemoaned.
Ghana has been fighting illegal mining for years. However, a recent alarm from the Ghana Water Company Limited on its inability to supply water to some towns in the Central Region due to the illegal mining activities happening at River Pra.
