Kweku Darlington gives conditions under which he will sign onto a record label
Talented rapper and singer Kweku Darlington born Emmanuel Kweku Owusu Darlington has said he will never work with any record label unless his current team members are attached to it.
“It is difficult for me to join a record label; but if the label will add my team to the deal, that is fine”. He revealed in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com
According to the young star, the current members of his team are the people who made him what he is today hence it will be difficult for him to leave them behind while he is cashing in some dollar bills.
“These are friends I have worked with for more than seven years. And there are some people when they come into your life, at a point it even difficult to call them friends like they are part of you. We’ve worked for a long time and now we know ourselves, and they are the very people who have been with me all this while. So it is even difficult for me to join a record label; only if the record label will add my team to the deal that is fine”.
Kweku Darlington said this in an interview with Kumasi-based radio Sikka FM monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
The “Sika Aba Fie” hitmaker further explained that, working with his current team will make him comfortable because he might not know exactly what the new members are going to bring on board and also the intention.
“You might not know the idea and things the new people are going to bring on board”, he told Kwabena Buju the host of the famous entertainment show “Flavour Zone” describing his current team as “family”.
He also stated that his current “family” has so far offered him the best advice hence there is no need to go in for a new one.
