Lazy comedians end up telling good jokes to the wrong audience
Emmanuel Nkansah Ansong known in the showbiz industry as Lekzy DeComic has said talent alone isn’t enough to be a stand-up comedian.
He remarked “Talent plays about 40 percent in being a stand-up comedian but you need to learn the rudiments involved and practice as well.
“That’s what would make you a refined comedian and so there are people who can say very funny stuff at the wrong place or occasion”.
In an interview on Property FM in Cape Coast with Amansan Krakye, he said comedians who don’t learn end up telling good jokes to the wrong audience.
Lekzy continued “When I’m invited to an event, I consider the age of those attending and the venue to determine which jokes would be appropriate for such an occasion.
“That’s when the talent isn’t enough so you have to actually practice and learn from other people who have excelled so that you can refine it,” he added as MyNewsGh.com observed.
“You can actually have a lot of good jokes but you would be telling the good jokes to the wrong audience or wrong jokes to the right audience.
