Media hyping A-list artistes who can’t pull just 100 people to their events in Accra
Rapper and Hiplife recording artiste, Sherif Abdul Majeed known in showbiz as Maccasio has said some A-list artistes can’t pull just 100 people to an event yet they get a lot of hype from the media.
“There are so many artistes who the media have been hyping but they can’t do a show and pull like just 100 people to attend and they are considered to be A-list artistes in Ghana,” he said in an interview with Amansan Krakye.
Speaking on Kastle FM in Cape Coast, Maccasio said he has been doing shows not only in the north but also in Accra where he’s filled the place to full capacity yet the media have been quite about his exploits.
“It’s not only about Northern region because I have done shows in Accra and filled the stadium and even the Bukom boxing arena it’s just that the mainstream media are so quiet about it,” he explained.
He added on the Kastle Entertainment Show “That’s why most people don’t get to hear some of the events we put up but at the end of the day we still have fans who follow us massively everywhere across the country”.
The Tamale-based musician has stressed that due to his massive following across the country, he’ll be staging events in Accra very soon to prove to everyone that he’s not just pulling the crowd only in the Northern region.
