Media must project Ghana music instead of Nigerian songs
Sensational Kumerican rapper, Andy Osei Sarfo known in showbiz as Kweku Flick has tasked the media to do more to project Ghanaian music on our airwaves.
“The media here need to focus on Ghanaian music because we also do great music and it’s hand go hand come,” he disclosed to Amansan Krakye in an interview.
He added on Kastle FM in Cape Coast that “So we need the support of each other and once we do that, Nigerian songs can’t dominate our airwaves anymore”.
Talking about how to end the dominance of Nigerian songs on the Ghanaian airwaves, the Hip-Hop artiste said claims that the local songs are substandard is not entirely true but rather what they lack Is the massive airplay to get them the attention needed.
“Okay I won’t say that our songs are not up to the standard but I will say that the media people here should remember that we are all Ghanaians and therefore they have to help us by playing our songs.
“When you go to Nigeria they also have their media guys who only play Nigerian songs and have little time to play songs from Ghana so we need to unite,” he concluded.
