Money doesn’t satisfy me – Burna Boy
Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy has once again made a bold statement about his career, emphasizing that financial success does not fulfill him.
In a recent post, the Afrofusion superstar declared that money gives him no satisfaction despite being the highest-paid artist in the history of African music.
“I said money doesn’t satisfy me and it’s my truth,” Burna Boy wrote. “But it doesn’t change the fact that I’m the highest-paid artist in the history of African music. Believe it or not.”
The “Ye” hitmaker shared that his deepest passion lies in performing live with his band, The Outsiders. According to him, standing on stage and connecting with his fans is what truly fulfills him.
“At this point, I just want to LIVE and DIE on stage with my band, The OUTSIDERS. I’ve achieved all the dreams I ever personally had.
Money gives me no satisfaction, nothing really does, except being on stage with my God-sent band,” he added.
Burna Boy’s statement reaffirms his dedication to music and performance over material wealth. Having sold out arenas worldwide and earned global recognition, he now prioritizes the joy of live music over financial gain.
Burna Boy remains firm in his belief that his purpose lies in making music and sharing it with the world.
