Music and Ministry is in the blood of almost all my 14 siblings
Award-winning Ghanaian Gospel musician and songwriter, Celestine Donkor has revealed that music and Ministry is a family heritage.
The musician who is the seventh born of 15 children to the family of Mr and Mrs Akakpo, both from the Volta region of Ghana revealed that three of her siblings are pastors while the others are in one way or the other connected to music.
Known locally as Mawusi she disclosed on Accra-based Joy Fm that living with other 14 siblings is something she reminisces especially eating together in a bowl and when they were gathered by their mother to sing praises.
Speaking on their connections to the music industry she said “Ministry was in the blood and we were raised in this direction. Everybody in my family is connected to music and ministry. I have like four pastors in my family, one sound engineer, one graphic designer, one videographer…it’s like everybody is doing something connected to music and ministry”
Celestine Donkor started her primary school education at St Augustine Preparatory school in Abeka Lapaz and continued to Nsaaniya Secondary Business School at Kasoa where she had her secondary school education.
