My Pastor friend quit God’s work to engage in Sakawa- Kwesi Arthur
Ghanaian rapper, Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur known in showbiz as Kwesi Arthur has disclosed that his lyrics are influenced by stories around him and what happens in the lives of others.
“My lyrics are influenced by the stories around me, things that I’ve been through and those that I know about other people and what they’ve also been through,” he responded.
Talking about the stories that influenced the songs on his ‘Son of Jacob’ album, Kwesi Arthur revealed that his friend who is a pastor has decided to quit and rather partake in online fraud known in the local parlance as Sakawa.
“A friend of mine who was a pastor decided to stop preaching because things were not going well with his life, so he stopped doing the work of God and put it on hold to rather do online fraud,” he revealed.
Speaking on Cape Coast’s Kastle FM in an interview with Amansan Krakye, the ‘Grind Dey’ hitmaker revealed that his songwriting mostly comes from what is happening within our society.
He continued, “And I said this in my song no regrets on the son of Jacob album cos it’s a phenomenon which is happening, it’s something I have seen with my eyes going on in our society.
