My position on galamsey hasn’t changed—Okyeame to NDC sympathizers
Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame, has expressed shock over attacks after he expressed concerns over illegal mining in Ghana.
The musician in an earlier post questioned, “Gh, are we choosing money over safe drinking water ?”
His post was met with vile attacks from sympathizers of the governing political party who questioned where he got his voice from.
They were of the view that he did not qualify to ask such a question, considering the fact that he did not do same under the previous government.
However, Okyeame Kwame provided video evidence to prove that his position on illegal mining has not changed and that the attacks on his person is not what is needed to fight the menace.
“When Npp was in power I spoke against illegal mining and I was insulted as an Ndc member .
Today , Ndc is in power and when I say the same thing , some people insult me as an Npp member .
My questions are :
can’t we tell the truth in this Country ?
Can’t we disagree and agree without political coloring ?
Can’t we focus on the central idea in a statement without emotions, ad hominem and name calling ?
Why can’t we disagree with each other respectfully?
From 2019 till date #stopgalamseynow#selflove#Ghanafirst#madeinghana“.
